We meet in the city center, get into a comfortable off-road vehicle, and head towards the Charyn Canyon.

The night in the yurt — great, but the sleeping bag they gave us was a bit thin. The stars at night are amazing. The guide told and showed us everything. We liked it, but it was cool in the yurt. Overall I recommend it!

Ask a questionBring comfortable shoes for walking on the rocky bottom of the canyon and a warm jacket — at night at the yurt camp it can be around +5°C. Sunglasses and sunscreen, a personal first-aid kit, insect repellent and a camera for the views will come in handy. We provide sleeping bags on site, so there's no need to bring your own.
Athletic training is not required, but there is a walking part: we walk about 2 km along the bottom of the canyon, plus walks along the edge of the Black Canyon and stops for photos. The rest of the time is in the transport, so it's doable for beginners. If you're worried about a specific date, message us on WhatsApp — we'll advise.
This is decided individually: consider how the person handles the road, the off-road section to the Black Canyon and sleeping in a yurt. The walking segments are short, but you walk on uneven ground. Describe your group in WhatsApp — we'll advise on the load for your specific date.
Meeting in the center of Almaty at 06:30, departure right away — that way we make it to the viewpoint over the Valley of Castles by 09:00. We arrive back in the city around 13:00 the next day, with short photo stops along the way. We'll confirm the meeting point in the center on WhatsApp before departure.
