Ask a questionBring trekking shoes — the trail to the cascade goes through the mountains, and city sneakers will be uncomfortable. A jacket or windbreaker will come in handy on top: it's windy in the gorge even on a warm day. Also bring 1–1.5 litres of water and a camera — we make a photo stop at the waterfalls.
The walking part is a medium-difficulty trail to the cascade, the walk takes about two hours. Before that you are driven by minibus, and after the waterfalls you move to the cheese farm, where you barely need to walk. No special training is required, but it's better to have the energy for two hours of trail.
The format is one-day, without overnight stays or off-road vehicles, but the key point is the same two-hour medium-difficulty trail to the waterfalls. If a child or an elderly person can comfortably handle such a walking section, the tour will suit them. We have no age restrictions, but for a specific person it's better to check for your date on WhatsApp.
Group meeting in Almaty at 07:00, in the centre — on Abay Avenue, corner of Pushkin Street, departure at 07:30. The waterfalls, lunch and the cheese farm take up the day, the return departure according to the programme is at 17:00, and we arrive in the city at approximately 19:00. We will confirm the point and time on WhatsApp before the trip.
The $29 per person covers the minibus from Almaty and back, a guide, a trout lunch at the cheese farm, the cheese tasting, and organisational and environmental fees. The only extras are personal expenses such as souvenirs or extra food, and insurance, which you arrange yourself. There are no other additional payments on this tour.
The tour is a group tour with departures on Saturdays and Sundays. If you'd like to go just with your own group, message us on WhatsApp with your numbers and date — we'll check what we can offer. Booking is simply a WhatsApp message, no prepayment needed; you pay on the day of the trip via Kaspi, by card or in cash. Cancelling the booking is free.
