Reviews
I had long dreamed of a six-thousander, and finally decided. Zhanna helped with the booking and picked a date to fit my vacation. In August the weather was excellent, but it was cold at altitude, and we had to put on a down jacket. The group was experienced, everyone helped each other. The program is packed: acclimatization, load carrying, ascent. I especially remember the climb along the ridge — hard, but beautiful. Thanks to the organizers for their precision.
My husband and I decided to celebrate our vacation unusually and chose the ascent of Marble Wall peak. The program is designed for nineteen days, several of them for acclimatization. In July it's hot in the gorge during the day, but at altitude you need warm clothes and a membrane. The load carrying with horses went calmly, and base camp was set up quickly. Outings to neighboring peaks helped us get used to the altitude. The summit push was hard, but the weather allowed us to climb. The descent and return to Almaty went without problems.
Went with a friend to test ourselves. In July it's cool in the mountains at night, hot during the day. The program is interesting, many acclimatization hikes. Got a bit tired from long treks but it was worth it. At the summit a stunning view opens up. Thanks to the organizers for their clear work.
Went in July, the weather was good, but cold at altitude. Great tour, liked it.
The ascent is difficult, but the program is well thought out. The Bayankol Gorge is very beautiful.
Aidos conducted the ascent excellently, everything was safe. The weather in August was pleasing, but the wind blew at the summit. Thanks for the tour!
Nineteen days is serious, but it was worth it. The guides are attentive, they checked the equipment.
Went in August, the weather was good, but cold at altitude. The ascent is difficult but interesting. The group is friendly, the guides are experienced. I recommend!
Gathered with friends back in winter, wanted to climb the Marble Wall. In July the weather allowed it, though there were rains too. The program is packed, acclimatization is well-planned. Especially liked the approach with horses. The ascent is difficult, but the guides supported us. We were satisfied, recommend to experienced tourists.
I went with my brother to fulfill a long-held dream. Aliya stayed in touch and helped with the group and the meeting point.
Went in July, the weather was good. Liked the tour, but got tired.
We went with friends to celebrate the end of the season. In July it's cold at altitude, but the summit push succeeded.
Zhanna picked convenient dates and organized everything. In July it's cold at altitude, but the gear held up. The ascent was memorable.
The idea to go to Marble Wall came after a friend showed photos from a previous expedition. The three of us gathered from Almaty; we wanted to test ourselves at altitude. Aliya coordinated the group and advised on packing and communication on the road, special thanks for that. In July in Bayankol it was hot during the day, but below zero at night on the glacier, so warm clothes are a must. Acclimatization was hard for two in the group, but we kept to the schedule. The ascent along the ridge didn't come at once; the weather changed quickly. The spare days were very useful; without them we wouldn't have climbed. We returned to Almaty tired but satisfied.
With friends we decided to close the season and went in August. The weather was okay, but there was snow. We got a bit tired, but we're satisfied.
My husband and I chose this tour for our wedding anniversary; we wanted to test ourselves. In July the weather is changeable: sometimes sun, sometimes rain, but in the mountains that's normal. The program is well thought out, with gradual acclimatization. I liked that there are spare days for weather. The ascent was not easy, but the emotions are unforgettable. Thanks to the guides for the safety.
I went on this tour with friends; we had long wanted to summit a six-thousander in Bayankol. We chose Marble Wall because it is the northernmost six-thousander in Asia and the logistics from Almaty are convenient. The first days went to the transfer and equipment check. Then acclimatization on radial outings up to four thousand, and snow travel technique. The load carrying with horses turned out not as hard as we thought. In July the nights were cold, but the sun was hot during the day. The ascent along the ridge is what I remember most, though the weather worsened a couple of times. The spare days saved us; without them we might not have made it.
We went with a horse caravan, which made the load carrying easier. In July it was cool at altitude.
I chose the tour spontaneously; a friend persuaded me to try something harder than ordinary hikes. In July in the Bayankol Gorge it was warm during the day, but cold at night. The first days went to gathering in Almaty and the transfer. Acclimatization up to four thousand was hard. Then there was the load carrying with a horse caravan to base camp. The ascent along the ridge will be remembered for a long time. The spare days for weather were very useful.
I chose this tour in August because I wanted to climb a high peak with friends. In July the weather was favorable, warm during the day, cool at night. The program is very well organized: acclimatization, equipment, summit climb. I liked riding horses. The ascent was difficult, but the guides helped. Nature is wonderful, the mountains are amazing. I recommend!
We went with a group in July, 19 days in the mountains. Acclimatization was hard, but the views are worth it. I will remember the ascent of Marble Wall forever. The weather in July is changeable, bring warm clothes. I'm very glad I decided to do it.
FAQ
We've collected the questions travelers ask most often. Didn't find your answer? Write to us — a guide will reply in a couple of minutes.
Ask a questionThe tour lasts 19 days, and the last two days are set aside for the return to Almaty. The exact arrival time depends on the transfer and the weather, so the guide will let the group know closer to the end of the route.
This is one of our most demanding routes: 19 days with acclimatization hikes, a transfer to base camp and a summit push. You will be on foot almost the whole time, including transitions with a horse caravan, so mountain trekking experience is required.
No, this ascent requires mountain trekking experience — this is stated directly in the tour description. The programme includes long hiking transitions, nights in field camps and work at altitude, so without training it will be hard and unsafe.
Bring clothing and footwear for mountain weather, a hat and sun protection, and keep your phone or camera charged. The route includes outings to 4000 and 5000 metres and work on snow and ice, so the guide will agree the full list of personal high-altitude gear for the season with each participant before departure.
