Ask a questionFootwear — no heels: sneakers or light trekking boots, because the trails along the canyon are rocky and unpaved. On top, be sure to have a windbreaker or jacket — it is windy in the canyon even on a warm day, plus a hat and sunscreen. You can give your child a spare T-shirt and a small snack with water if they are used to snacking often.
The walking sections here are short and manageable even for children: a walk along the trail along the edge of the Valley of Castles is about one kilometer, and a little more through the Red Canyon. The rest of the time you ride in the off-road vehicle and stop at viewpoints, so no special preparation is needed. This is not a hike, but a calm weekend route with a picnic in nature.
Meet in the center of Almaty at the Kazakhstan Hotel at 06:30, and from there we leave by off-road vehicle. We return to the city at approximately 19:00, but the exact time depends on the road and the group. The tour is one-day and is designed for 12 hours, so it is better to plan the day as free.
The price already includes the off-road vehicle there and back, the guide-driver's work, entry to the national park, lunch in nature with hot tea, water and insurance. Separately — only personal expenses: souvenirs, additional drinks and dinner along the way. Transfer to the meeting point in Almaty is also not included if you need it.
The tour is a family tour and is designed for trips on Saturdays and Sundays. For an individual format and the possibility of assembling only your group, write to us on WhatsApp — we will clarify for your date. The guide will tell you before departure how everything will be organized on your day.
