Reviews
Kz tilindegi tur ote kerek boldy. Gid bergan akparat ote paidaly.
Thanks for the wonderful walk! The city's atmosphere was perfectly conveyed. The Ascension Cathedral particularly impressed me.
Kazaksha tour kerek boldy. Gid korkem zherlerdi korsetti.
We decided to celebrate my friend's birthday in an unusual way — we chose a walking tour of the center. Most of all we were pleased by the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park: it's beautiful and calm there. The organization was clear, the guide told everything on time.
My sister and I came for the weekend, we didn't know the city at all, so we took a walking tour of the center. Three hours flew by unnoticed: we walked along Panfilov Street, listened about merchant houses, and took beautiful shots at the Glory Memorial and the Ascension Cathedral. The guide told stories so enthusiastically that we didn't even get tired. At the Green Bazaar we tried dried fruits and sweets — very colorful. We liked that the pace was calm and you could ask any questions. For a first introduction to the city — just what you need!
I saw a tour ad on Instagram and wanted to walk around the center with a guide. It was great!
Russian here is in translit but everything is clear. The guide beautifully talked about the architecture.
My husband and I went on the tour in February, we wanted to unwind and learn something new about the city. The guide told stories very warmly, even about the underground passages beneath the city — we had never heard that anywhere. We walked through the center, looked at merchant houses, stopped by the park and the memorial. At the Green Bazaar it was noisy and fun, we tried local sweets. The only thing is, at the Abai monument we had to wait a bit for the group to gather. Overall the atmosphere is cozy, but I would have liked a little more time for photos. I recommend it to those who like leisurely walks.
We had a good time and learned a lot of new things about the city. We waited at the Green Bazaar for about 20 minutes, but it was worth it
When we first came to Almaty, we chose a walking tour to get to know the city. My sister and I went, she had never been to this city before either. The guide led us along the street and told about the history of the old houses, the park and the memorial. We especially liked the Ascension Cathedral and the Green Bazaar — at the bazaar we tasted local sweets. We strolled along Arbat and saw various art objects. At the end of the tour the guide told us where else we could go on our own. Time flew by, it was useful and interesting.
My wife and I decided to spend the weekend usefully and chose this tour because of the convenient time — during the day, without rushing. The guide turned out to be polite and knowledgeable, answered all questions. We walked along Panfilov Street, looked at old buildings, then the park and the memorial. We saw the mosque and the old part of the city, and on Arbat we saw modern art objects. The only downside is little time for photos, we wanted to linger longer at some places. But overall we were satisfied, we learned a lot of new things about the city.
We went with colleagues for a team building, wanted to spend time in an unusual way. The guide arranged a real historical quest in the center: we looked for details on old buildings and listened to city legends. Very exciting, everyone was delighted!
It's our family's first time in Almaty, and to understand the city right away, we took a sightseeing walking tour. We didn't regret it! The guide told stories about Panfilov Street and the park so enthusiastically that we didn't notice how time passed. We were especially impressed by the Ascension Cathedral and the green alleys around it. The kids listened with interest too. A great start to getting to know the city!
Gid Dinar umet interesno podavat' informaciyu. Dazhe deti ne skuchali.
My husband and I came to Almaty for the first time, and to avoid getting lost, we took a walking tour. We walked for a long time, but the guide captivated us with history so much that we forgot about fatigue. I especially remember the Ascension Cathedral and the green alleys of the park.
I decided to surprise my wife with a romantic walk around evening Almaty. Special thanks to the guide Dinara for the cozy atmosphere.
We went with my daughter during spring break, wanted to show her the old city. Most of all we liked the tour of the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park, the guide told touching stories about the heroes.
Kz tilindegi tur algash ret boldy. Barlygy ustandy. Riza mindet.
I am a pensioner, I went with my grandchildren. Everything was convenient, the pace was calm, the guide was attentive.
I had long wanted to get to know Almaty better, and then a friend suggested going on a walking tour together. We went in November, the weather was cool, but comfortable for walking. What I remember most is the Green Bazaar — everything there is bright and noisy, and the Ascension Cathedral, which can be seen from afar. True, at the Abai monument we waited about twenty minutes for everyone to gather, so the start dragged a bit. Otherwise we liked everything: the guide told interesting stories about the old part of the city and the art objects on Arbat. At the end he gave tips on where else to go on your own. A good option to see the heart of the city in one go.
The guide told so many interesting things about the buildings of Almaty, I really liked the route.
Ochen' interesno! Gid Dinar rasskazival tak uvlechenno chto ne zametili kak proshli 5 kilometrov.
My daughter was delighted with the fountains and parks. Thanks to the guide Dinara for her patience. Overall, we are satisfied
FAQ
We've collected the questions travelers ask most often. Didn't find your answer? Write to us — a guide will reply in a couple of minutes.
Ask a questionThe whole walk is designed for three hours, and the entire time you move on foot at a relaxed pace, with no long climbs. The route is in the city, with stops at the Abai monument, the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park, the Green Bazaar and Arbat, so no special training is needed. If you get tired, the guide will adjust the rhythm — the group is small.
Yes, this is a private format: from Abai Square to Republic Square, a guide accompanies only your party. The guide adjusts the pace and the highlights to you, not to a mixed group. We will agree on the date and start time in WhatsApp.
According to the programme we start at 10:00 at the Abai monument on Abai Square — that's the meeting point in central Almaty, and the time can be moved on request. There the guide meets you and briefly explains how the route to Republic Square will go. We'll send the exact location on WhatsApp after confirming the booking.
Take shoes that are comfortable for long walking, and clothing for the weather, since the route goes through the streets, the park and the bazaar. In summer, a hat and sunscreen will be useful; in the rainy season, a raincoat; and for photos, a phone or camera. A small backpack for personal items and water is more convenient than a bag in your hand.
The route goes through the flat city center, with no difficult terrain, and with frequent stops at the sights, so it is usually comfortable for both children and older people. The guide adjusts the rhythm to the group and makes pauses for photos. If any of your party has health restrictions, write to us in WhatsApp — we will clarify the details for your date.
Just write to us in WhatsApp with the date and the number of participants — that is enough, no prepayment is needed. You can pay on the day of the trip: Kaspi, by card or in cash, and you can cancel the booking for free. The price of $31 per person already includes the work of the guide, water and a route map, while souvenirs, food at the Green Bazaar and transfer to the meeting point are paid separately if you wish.
