Reviews
The vacation was short, just a couple of days in Almaty, so we were looking for a tour to cover the main things in one go. We went as a couple with my wife. The guide showed and told us everything: we walked around the central square, looked into the park, listened about the city's history. We liked that we didn't have to rush anywhere, but still managed to see a lot. It's a pity there was little time — we would have liked to stay longer at the viewpoint, but the program is the program. Overall, a great introduction to the city in half a day.
A wonderful tour! Thanks to the guide, we learned a lot. I liked the Green Bazaar, it's colorful and fun.
The tour was fire! I especially liked Panfilov Park. The guide was very knowledgeable and told the stories with soul. Thank you so much
Loved the Green Bazaar, lots of stuff. But departure was delayed a bit, about 15 minutes. Overall okay.
We liked everything. The guide told interesting stories. We got a bit tired from the walking tour, but it didn't ruin the impression
We took the tour for our parents. The guide explained everything well, the route is convenient. Thank you
Ponravilas ekskursiya. Zeliniy bazar vpechatlil. Gid rasskazival interesno. Sovetuyu
Really liked the tour. Especially the Green Bazaar and Kok-Tobe. The guide is attentive, told us everything. Thanks
We chose the tour based on reviews and didn't regret it. Everything was smooth, no hiccups. Thanks for organizing.
This tour is for those who want to get to know the city better. We visited the main places and had time for everything. The guide is a true professional. A small downside — there wasn't enough time for souvenirs.
The tour was very good, I learned a lot of new things. The guide spoke Kazakh and explained everything clearly. Kok-Tobe is beautiful, the views from there are great. Thank you.
Walked around the city with friends and decided to take a tour. Waited in line for the cable car for a long time, but the tour was worth it. The guide told a lot of interesting things about the city
Rahmet ekskursiaga. Kok-Tobe korkem. Gid zhaksy aityp berdi. Biraz sabir kerek boldy kezekte
Decent tour, but in winter it was windy at the viewpoint. But the views from Kok-Tobe are beautiful. The guide helped with photos
I liked the tour. The cathedral is simply magnificent, especially inside. The guide told the history in an interesting way. The only thing is, at the end we got a bit tired from walking.
The vacation was short, wanted to see as much as possible. The guide Dinara told stories so engagingly that time flew by unnoticed. Especially liked the park. Will definitely come back
The trip was excellent. Everything was well organized. The guide gave a great tour and told us a lot of interesting things. I recommend it.
We went on the tour with my mom. We liked everything a lot. The guide was attentive and helped my mom. Thank you. The only thing is, it was noisy in the cathedral
We vacationed as a family and chose this tour because of the short time. Went to the park and the bazaar. The guide is pleasant, showed us everything. The price is reasonable
We took this tour spontaneously, just walking around the center and saw a group. We joined with the kids, they were interested. We especially liked the cable car and the view from Kok-Tobe — the children squealed with delight. The guide explained the history well, answered questions. A small downside — there were many people in the cathedral, we couldn't see everything. But overall the impressions are good, the children will remember it for a long time.
Liked that they showed not only the center but also told about the daily life of Almaty residents. Dinara is very warm-hearted. Minus — in September it was hot to walk
We went with friends, wanted to learn more about the city. The tour is good, but a bit boring for young people — lots of historical facts, and we wanted more action. But it's informative, the guide tried, answered questions. We liked the bazaar — it's colorful and you can buy souvenirs. I recommend it for a first acquaintance with the city, especially if you like calm walks.
The tour was super. The cathedral is very beautiful, it impressed us. The guide did great, told everything in an interesting way. Everyone liked it.
The tour is excellent! We liked everything. Especially the Green Bazaar — there's so much there, eyes run wild. The guide Dinara is great, told everything interestingly. My brother and I came to Almaty for the first time, wanted to see the city. In half a day we managed a lot: both the park, and the viewpoint, and the pedestrian street. We got a bit tired, but satisfied. I recommend it to everyone!
FAQ
We've collected the questions travelers ask most often. Didn't find your answer? Write to us — a guide will reply in a couple of minutes.
Ask a questionThe route is a sightseeing walking tour: we stroll through squares, the park, the bazaar and the pedestrian street, and we travel between points by bus. The pace is relaxed, with stops and stories from the guide, so older people usually manage it comfortably. If someone in the group gets tired, the guide adjusts the rhythm for everyone.
The main thing is comfortable shoes you're ready to walk in for several hours, plus a hat and sunscreen, because part of the route is outdoors. A raincoat will also come in handy — the weather in the mountains near the city can change. At the bazaar it's convenient to have cash on you, and a phone or camera definitely won't hurt.
Meet at 10:00 in the centre of Almaty, at the fountain on Abai Square, where our guide meets you and introduces the group. We finish the route at 14:00 at the hotel, that is, back at the starting point. We'll confirm the exact meeting point for your date on WhatsApp.
The cable car to Kok-Tobe is not included in the price; the ticket is bought on the spot separately, around $4. Everything else on the route — the guide's work, the walk through the parks and squares, a bottle of water and organisational fees — is already included. The tour price is $15 per person; personal purchases at the bazaar and souvenirs are paid for by each person themselves.
This tour is a group tour, but if you'd like to go with just your own group, message us on WhatsApp — we'll check for your date what can be arranged. The format and price in that case depend on the number of people. The guide will let you know before departure how everything will go.
The route is relaxed and mostly on foot, without difficult climbs or long drives, so families with children usually manage it easily. The tour costs $15 per person. On WhatsApp we can tell you whether the format suits your child.
