Ask a questionTake what you're comfortable walking in on the rocky trails of the canyon, and separately a swimming kit for the springs with a towel. For the evening by the fire after checking into the guest house, a warm sweater will come in handy, even if it's hot during the day. And don't forget a hat and sunscreen — the canyons are open.
The main travel is by transport; you walk around the canyons and make stops at viewpoints, without long hikes. No special physical fitness is needed, but your shoes should be broken in. If someone in your group is unsure about their stamina, message us on WhatsApp — we'll discuss it for your date.
The programme is relaxed: swimming in open-air pools, lunch at a café, a drive through the canyons and a night in a guest house, not in tents. Children usually enjoy the springs and the Valley of Castles, while older guests appreciate that the overnight stay is in a house. If you're unsure whether the programme suits your family, message us on WhatsApp and we'll discuss it for your date.
The meeting is set for 06:30, and we leave from the city center, so it's better to arrive a little early. We arrive back in Almaty by 17:00 on the second day, with stops at viewpoints along the way. The guide will tell you the exact meeting point before departure.
The price includes transport both ways, the guide-driver, entrance tickets to Charyn Canyon, the visit to the springs, a night in the guest house and water on the road. Meals — lunch, dinner and breakfast — you pay for yourself, as well as souvenirs, extra drinks and insurance if you decide to take it out. So cash or a card for food will come in handy.
The tour format is group-based, with departures on Saturdays and Sundays, but if possible we can put together your own group — we'll clarify for your date on WhatsApp. Booking is done simply by message, without prepayment. Payment on the day of the trip — via Kaspi, by card or in cash, and cancellation of the booking is free.
