In August we raced through the ravines, dust was flying, but the emotions were great. The instructor is nearby, so it's not scary even for a beginner.

In June, my friend and I went on the buggy tour because we were looking for adrenaline. The instructor was with us and showed us everything clearly. The riverbed was dry, but the ravines were tough, still we got a great impression.

I got a bonus at work, decided to celebrate with friends — we chose the buggy in January. It was frosty, but you warm up behind the wheel, the hour passed unnoticed.

In December we rode through the ravines, the clay was frozen, but the buggy went briskly. An hour behind the wheel — just right, you don't have time to freeze.

I signed up for the buggy tour back in January, but we only went in February. Zhanna helped choose the date and told everything in detail via WhatsApp. On the day of the trip it was frosty, but on site they gave us helmets, goggles, and we quickly got into the process. The briefing was short but clear, you really don't need a license. An hour behind the wheel through the clay gullies flew by quickly, my husband and I swapped places. The weather was dry, the clay was hard, but the buggy handled it. After the ride we took photos and went back, we arrived in the city around half past twelve. Lots of impressions, especially for my husband. Thanks for the organization, everything was clear.

In April my wife and I were choosing an active holiday for our anniversary, we took the buggy tour. The mud after the rains was tough, but we liked it, only we had to wash our clothes for a long time afterwards.

In autumn, my wife and I wanted to unwind and try something new — we settled on buggies. The manager met us in the city, explained everything, and drove us to the start. The weather was dry but windy, so dust was flying. An hour behind the wheel flew by quickly; my wife and I swapped places. We liked it, especially when we reached the riverbed.

We chose this tour spontaneously, wanted something active for the weekend. The meeting was in the city, we got to Kaskelen in about forty minutes by escort vehicle. At the start they gave us helmets and goggles, the instructor showed and explained everything. An hour behind the wheel through the clay gullies and the riverbed passed unnoticed, we took turns driving with my boyfriend. In June it was hot, but the wind from the movement saved us. The only thing, I would have liked a little more time for photos after the ride, but otherwise everything was great. We got back around twelve, made it for lunch. Overall I recommend it, especially if you don't have a license but want adrenaline.

In June, we went on a buggy tour. We left Almaty in the morning and reached the starting point near Kaskelen in about 40 minutes. Aliya met us with the group and kept in touch along the way, everything was on time. The instructor gave us helmets and goggles and explained how to drive the buggy. We rode for an hour through muddy ravines and the riverbed, taking turns driving the two-seater buggy. Although the weather was hot, the breeze was refreshing. At the end, we took photos, got in the car, and returned to the city by noon. It was a great break from the daily grind, I recommend it to my friends.

A friend told me about the buggy tour, and finally in February I went myself. There was snow in the Kaskelen Gorge, but it didn't get in the way, on the contrary, we admired the beauty of nature. The instructor gave us helmets and goggles and explained how to drive the buggy. We rode for an hour through muddy ravines and the riverbed, taking turns at the wheel of the two-seater buggy. Although the weather was cold, the breeze while moving was refreshing and it was fun. There's no canteen, but we decided we'll go again. I recommend it to my friends too, especially to those seeking extreme experiences in winter.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the buggy ride through the Kaskelen ravines

We've collected the questions travelers ask most often. Didn't find your answer? Write to us — a guide will reply in a couple of minutes.

Ask a question

No licence is needed for this tour, and the controls are shown from scratch. Before the start, the instructor explains the safety rules, gives you a helmet and goggles and checks your equipment. After that you follow him along the clay gullies near Kaskelen — an hour behind the wheel, and if you want you can swap places in the two-seater vehicle.

The route goes over clay and along the river, so dust and splashes are almost guaranteed. Take comfortable clothing and footwear for the weather, but not your smartest things, plus a hat and sun protection. You should also pack water and a light snack, and keep your phone or camera charged for photos by the buggy.

Departure at 09:00 from Almaty: the meeting point is the company office or another place we agree with you in advance on WhatsApp. After about 40 minutes we are already at the start, where the vehicles and equipment are handed out. We return to the city at approximately 12:10, so the whole tour is one day: an hour behind the wheel and about four hours including the road.

The format is a group tour with daily departures, so there are usually other participants. If you want the buggies to be only for your group on a chosen date, write to us on WhatsApp — we will check what is possible for your day and number of people. The buggies themselves are two-seater, and you can swap drivers during the hour.

The price includes transport along the entire route, an experienced guide and the organisation of stops, as well as the vehicle itself, helmets and goggles. Only personal expenses are paid separately: food and possible entrance tickets if there are paid sites along the way. There will be no additional payments for the buggy on site.

Just write to us on WhatsApp and give the date — that is enough to book a place on the buggy tour through the Kaskelen gullies, and nothing needs to be transferred in advance. You pay on the day of the trip: via Kaspi, by card or in cash. If your plans change, cancellation is free — let us know on WhatsApp and we will remove the booking.
